With the wide application of nuclear energy in medical field, the incidence of radiation injury is increasing gradually. Radiation dermatitis is one of the adverse reactions of tumor patients receiving radiation therapy. It is generally manifested as erythema and ulceration on the skin surface, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients and delays the process of radiotherapy. In this paper, the classification and pathogenesis of radioactive dermatitis were introduced, and the research progress of various traditional Chinese medicine preparations in the treatment of radioactive dermatitis was reviewed, providing theoretical basis for the subsequent prevention and treatment. With the wide use of nuclear technology in medicine, the incidence of radiation injury is increasing gradually. With an engineering example, we calculate and analyse the transport and diffusion of liquid effluent from nuclear power plants in the receiving water body, by a two-dimensional numerical simulation method based on depth averaging. The calculated tidal level, flow rate and flow direction are in good agreement with the measured hydrological test data, which truly reflect the hydrodynamic characteristics of the engineering area. Then, We analyze the impact mechanism of residual current on the nuclide dilution process. The results show that with the increase of residual current, the influence range of concentration field gradually shifts to the direction of residual current, which has a significant impact on the concentration distribution in the engineering area. It should be paid attention to in the environmental impact assessment process.

We analyze the running costs for operations and outages, with respect to the two access modes in controlled areas of nuclear power plants. The use of protective equipments, the production of liquid waste from cleaning protective equipments and the production of solid waste are all taken into account. The analysis shows that the running cost for the EVEREST mode is lower than that for the traditional "Seven-piece-set" mode, whether during operations or outages. For typical daily operations, the running cost for EVEREST accounts for only about one third of that for " Seven-piece-set " mode.

Tools in nuclear power plants are often scrapped because they become contaminated and cannot be reused, which not only requires the procurement of a large number of new tools, but also increases the production of radioactive waste and the operating costs. A device integrating decontamination, rinsing and drying is designed. Through practice, the purpose of tool reuse, waste production reduction and cost saving has been achieved. The structure, principle and utilisation of the device are introduced, and its shortcomings are mentioned.

The combination of centralised and voluntary evacuation was simulated to estimate and analyse the overall evacuation time of the Maiyu public from within the island to the outside under different hardware ancillary facilities. It’s expected to provide a technical basis for decision-making to carry out Maiyu public nuclear emergency protection operations, and provide inspiration for improving the preparation for public nuclear emergency evacuation in Maiyu and other islands around nuclear power plants.
