A fault tree model, for radiation safety of nuclear flaw detection in the field of nuclear power construction projectshas been set up, by using which the relevant risk has been fully analyzed. Combined with the specific requirements of relevant laws, regulations and standardsof radiation protection in China, a set of complete control measures of radiation detection of nuclear power construction site is formulated in accordance withthe operation process flow, by reference to the practices of Bechtel, FA3 and other companies. It is aimed at eliminating the occurrence of safety incidents both through the management system and via technical means, and standardizing the radiation safety protection and management of radiofrequency detection in the construction of nuclear power projects.

Risk identification of radiation sources is related to its inherent characteristics, radiation protection facilities and operating conditions, as well as implementation of laws and regulations. Based on the practice of radiation safety supervision, and technical procedures of daily supervision and inspection, factors that have important influence on radiation safety were generalized, summarized and refined. Combined with widely solicited peer opinions and suggestions, an evaluation index system of radiation risksources was established. The Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) based on Expert Supporting Degree was used to provide the weight of each risk evaluation index, todetermine the risk level of a radiation source unit. The study will provide thetheoretical basis for classification management of radiation risk sources, realize the dynamic classification management of radiation sources, and improve theefficiency of radiation regulation.

In 2012, the management of spent

Co sources was carried out in a 1984-built irradiation plant, which isdiscontinued for many years. It is found in actual work that due to the time elapsed and poor management, there is incomplete source-term information, and external conditions for reconditioning and recycling are not available for them. Thelessons learned in the process of management are summarized, along with some suggestions for future work proposed.

Radiation environmental monitoring isan important part of nuclear emergency work. After the Fukushima nuclear accident, Tianwan NPP, under the national safety improvement requirements, has its nuclear emergency monitoring vehicles and vehicle system upgraded in order to ensurethe rapid and effective conduct of off-site emergency radiation monitoring inthe case of nuclear accidents. The main functions of the upgraded vehicle systeminclude real-time data acquisition, data trend analysis, vehicle real-time trend trajectory tracking, emergency planning zone display, vehicle-mounted spectrometer, microwave data transmission. The basic functions of nuclear emergency environmental monitoring vehicle and vehicle system of Tianwan NPP are described.
