Abstract: From July 2011 to October 2012, we monitored the indoor radon level in 6 key cities in Xinjiang, with both accumulative and instantaneous measurement methods used. The data was then analyzed on classifications such as location, building year, floor, and ground decoration materials.The survey has resulted in a basic database and a preliminarily grasp of the overall indoor radon distribution in Xinjiang. This can provide a basis for the decision-making of environmental protection and construction industry management authorities.
