Abstract: To understand the environmental radiation impact of a germanium ore mining enterprise in Yunnan Province, in 2021 we carried out radiation environment monitoring of it, in accordance with national and/or industry standards. The results show that, the average radon concentration in downwind of the exhaust shaft is at the same level as the inlet shaft. The contents of 210Pb and 7Be in aerosol are comparable to the results of automatic atmospheric monitoring in the local main urban zone. The air absorbed dose rate of γ-radiation is similar to, or slightly higher than the control point, with the exception of dump. The radon concentration in the air of the downwind residential area is similar to the value of the control point, and significantly higher than the average 5-year value (cumulative measurement) in the local main urban zone. The levels of U, total α and total β in surface water are higher than the background. The contents of 238U and 226Ra in soil around the mine, in downwind of the exhaust shaft and in the mining settlement are higher than those of the control point.
