Analysis of Occupational Health Examination Results of Radiation Workers in Wuhan in 2021

Abstract: We present health examination results of 1 531 radiation workers in Wuhan in 2021. It showes that: 1) the abnormal rate of blood routine and urine routine in women is significantly higher than that of men; the abnormal rate of liver function, micronucleus, upper abdominal colour ultrasound and blood sugar in men is significantly higher than that of women; 2) there are significant differences in blood pressure, ocular lens, electrocardiogram, micronucleus, upper abdominal colour ultrasound and blood sugar in different age groups, among which blood pressure tends to gradually increase with age; the rate of ocular lens, electrocardiogram, micronucleus, upper abdominal colour ultrasound and blood glucose abnormalities in the above-51-age group is the highest; 3) colour B-ultrasound and blood sugar vary significantly between different working years, and the abnormal rate gradually increases with age; 4) the abnormal blood pressure rate varies significantly between different jobs, of which dental radiology is the highest; the abnormal rate of colour ultrasound in the upper abdomen varies significantly between different types of work, of which interventional radiology is the highest. These suggest that long-term low dose ionising radiation has certain adverse effects on the health of radiation workers and is related to length of service, gender, age and etc. Health monitoring of radiation workers should be further strengthened.
