Diagnosis Evaluation of Cases of Occupational Radiation Tumor (Leukemia)

Abstract: Analyses 8 cases of occupational radiation tumor (leukemia). It shows that all cases were caused by chronic occupational exposure,despite distribution in 6provinces, i.e., Hubei, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu and Anhui. In the end, 3 cases died. Hence, more attention should be paid to personal dose monitoring and health monitoring of radiation workers, protection knowledge education should be strengthened, and a complete database of radiation workers should be established to optimise protection and the accuracy of diagnosis, with a view to discovering the occurrence of occupational radiation tumours.We analyse 8 cases of occupational radiation tumor (leukemia) in China. It shows that, despite distribution in 6 provinces, i.e., Hubei, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu and Anhui, they were all caused by chronic occupational exposure, with 3 deaths.
