Abstract: Psychological crisis intervention during nuclear emergencies may play an important role in supporting emergency response of nuclear power plants, alleviating psychological trauma among rescue personnel and the public, thus maintaining social stability. Based on the characteristics of nuclear accidents and the theory of psychological crisis intervention, this paper explores the target population, intervention timing, core principles, and specific methods for psychological crisis intervention in nuclear emergency situations. This paper also discusses the approach and importance of establishing a professional psychological crisis intervention team within nuclear power plants, offering insights into the improvement of nuclear emergency response systems.
