Study on the dominant ventilation method for radon reduction in uranium mine

Abstract: Based on the radon exudation rule in the inlet and the using sections of the mine ventilation network, the calculation formula of air demand for radon reduction in uranium mines under different ventilation modes is derived from the basic equation of radon reduction ventilation in uranium mines. The evaluation indicators of dominant ventilation mode are derived from the effective air supply capacity of the inlet section. And the discrimination method of radon reduction ventilation mode in uranium mines is suggested.
