Abstract: Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) can simulate fluid-barrier interactions. Combined with Fick′s diffusion equation and N-S equation, CFD can simulate the diffusion of pollutants in the atmosphere, which can make up for the limitations of traditional Gaussian model in environmental impact assessment. With continuous development and application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) technology, its model validation and verification (V&V) methods are also being improved and updated. Institutions such as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) have taken V&V as an important development direction. China Center for Aerodynamic Research and Development (CCAAD) has also established a V&V system. This paper discusses the development trend of V&V methods for CFD models, with the aim to providing reference and reference for the application of CFD in environmental pollutant dispersion.
