Abstract

Abstract: CE一1，a lunar orbiting spacecraft，is part of the first phase of the Chinese lunar exploration program．A novel optical sensor，ultraviolet(UV)lunar sensor，is employed in the CE-1 satellite．The UV lunar sensor is a wide field of view(FOV)optical sensor which operates in the orbit around moon and provides the GNC subsystem with the pitch and roll information．This paper introduces the information of the UV sensor，including the principle，functions and the results of flight tests．
