Aerospace Control and Application (ISSN 1674-1579, CN 11-5664/V) is the core journal of science and technology in China, sponsored by Beijing Institute of Control Engineering, China Academy of Space Technology (CAST). Its predecessor is the internal publication Foreign Space Control Technology established in 1975, and then was renamed into Control Engineering, and later the Aerospace Control and Application. It is now a bimonthly journal, issued before the 25th day of the issuing month. The journal has been openly issued since Feb 26, 2008.
As an academic publication, the task of Aerospace Control and Application is to reflect the latest scientific and technological achievements and developments of great significance in the field of aerospace control research on theories, methodologies and applications; control system and its components (parts); system simulation and test; information processing and reliability.
The guiding principles of Aerospace Control and Application are: to provide a platform for people to make scientific studies and exchange their ideas for aerospace control and its application about space vehicles, space activities and space experiments; to report the research progress, tests and applications of aerospace control at home and abroad; to discuss the frontier technology; to promote academic exchange and cultivate sci-tech talents; and to advance the development of aerospace control and its application.

In recent years, China’s space industry has made brilliant achievements, and journal of Aerospace Control and Application has reported them timely and has been paid more attention from scientific and technical worker all over the world. To improve the quality of journal and pushing forward the development of aerospace discipline and rendering services in promoting soft power of aerospace science and technology innovation, we will do more and harder.
Aerospace Control and Application is abstracted or indexed in Chinese Science and Technology Paper Citation Database (CSTPCD), Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) and most Chinese Index Databases.
