Laser Coherent Beams Combining Technology for Space Optical Communication

摘要: 介绍多种在输出功率得以提高的同时保持好的光束质量的激光相干组束技术原理.综合分析并评述激光相干组束技术研究状况,对主动相位控制和被动相位控制两种技术方案进行比较,基于主振荡放大的主动相位控制方案可以获得接近衍射极限、稳定、远场高亮度的光束,可为构建高效、可靠的长距离、高速率空间光通信系统提供技术支撑,对认识激光相干组束技术的发展趋势,研究空间激光通信系统具有一定的参考价值.

Abstract: The principles of laser coherent beam combination that can enhance the output power and improve the beam quality are introduced. The developments of coherent beam combining technique are reviewed and discussed. Two beam combining approaches that respectively based on active phase control and passive phase control are compared. Based on the master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA), the active phase control can obtain a neardiffraction limited, stable and high brightness farfield laser beam. As a result, the active phase control is considered to be a technical support for a long distance, high rate data space optical communication system. It provides valuable information on the trends of laser coherent beam combination technology and has some important significance for space optical communication.
